Introduction
This was the 6th Mood481 album. There’s definitely some physics-based generative app stuff going on, maybe Caelestis, and definitely NodeBeat on the later tracks. I do so wish I’d kept better notes.
The artwork
A decade ago I was fairly engaged in an Instagram community called applifam run by Electronic Social Art Forum founder Johan du Toit. Johan would post photos he had taken, along with challenges to edit them using iPhone apps. The cover of this album was the result of one of those challenges, and necessarily includes portions of a photograph by Johan.
The music
This album starts out with a couple of tracks of 70s-style solo synth music. Part III gets a lot darker, and Part IV is a melancholy piano piece with strings. Part V is a more traditional ambient track with long synth swells and punctuating bells. Part VI harkens back to the NodeBeat-driven drum and synth style of the first few albums. Part VII features an odd mix of sitar, arpeggiated bass, organ sounds, and spacey synths. There is sort of a theme that flows throughout the tracks, so I think I was probably experimenting with using a common generative preset as a starting point.
Thanks as always for listening.
Liner Notes
Composed and produced by Qid Love.

Very clean and in your face sounds on this record.
